Wear and Carry Permit training is a two day course. The course will include instruction on state firearm law, home firearm safety, handgun mechanisms and operation, and a component that requires the applicant to demonstrate gun safety and proficiency with a minimum score of 70% accuracy.

You are required to bring your firearm and ammunition for the second day only. Minimum of 50 rounds of ammunition and two magazines. Also bring appropriate ear and eye protection. Keep firearm in your vehicle until instructed.

Closed toe shoes required. Range is outdoor and you may want to bring bug repellant. If weather prohibits shooting, individual shooting tests will be scheduled.

We will have breaks each hour and break for lunch. Water and snacks will be provided. You may want to bring a bag lunch on both days.

Class room and range is located at the same location in Pasadena, MD.

Additionally needed for the Wear & Carry permit is Fingerprints and a Passport picture. We currently do not provide this but there are several places to get this done. You can check the Maryland State Police website for places that provide this service. Also note that fingerprints for HQL is different from fingerprints for Wear and Carry. You will need a separate set for each.
